GILLES CAFFIER works on products development.

From his hand made limited edition collections, GILLES has adapted mass produced interpretations. An example of this is, his “Scapha” standing lamp, made of ceramic and cotton cord. It is reimagined as a hanging pendant in a see-through smoke grey industrial material.

He also experiments with his own lines, with pieces not currently in his production. Such as an armchair created to compliment his “Tango” series of tables and consoles. This collection is made of walnut, black steel and smoked glass. The armchair has accents of the same materials with a tone on tone jacquard textile.

He has created a variety of displays for jewelry, fashion accessories, precious collections, chocolates, etc.
Trays, boxes, display stands, containers,…in lamb leather, fur, silk taffeta are among the possibilities.
Always following the design aesthetic of the client. Past clients include L’éclaireur in Paris, Joyce in Hong Kong, and HP in Tokyo.

He has been commissioned to design pieces for luxury brands, such as Donna Karan bisque floral vase and Calvin Klein-a series of votives, hurricanes and trays in marble and quartz. He also designed a full range of glazed hand painted ceramics for Harrods.

His textile experience is rich and varied. He has developed a wide assortment of textiles from fashion wovens, like his woven line Itinéraires, produced and distributed in Japan, He also worked with FUJIEI on a woven, jacquard and printed upholstery collection for the European market.
